National Sales Manager - Stamping and Fabrication

Location: Oshkosh, WI.

Employee Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: Provide stamping and engineering solutions to OEM customers to increase sales within an assigned area of responsibility.  Maintain strong communications with existing and prospective customers serving as the Company's National Account Representative.    

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Maintain all communications between the company and its existing and prospective customers

• Develop and maintain work and social relationships with customers and personnel that have influence in purchasing activities

• Keep all customer information current in the company's database

• Develop an understanding of customer requirements

• Maintain current data on customer requirements and competitive supplier information

• Cultivate new accounts

• Resolve customer problems and complaints

• Provide updates and prepare reports on customer status, in a timely fashion

• Travel to visit customers (expected to travel 50% of the time)

• Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Service Representatives and Account Managers and Engineers

• Perform other duties as assigned 

Relationships / Contacts

Candidate is expected to establish and maintain contacts with all levels of the organization as well as external customers and suppliers

• Steel knowledge strongly preferred

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

• Demonstrated leadership skills in a team/group environment

• High aptitude for mechanical systems. Extremely "hands-on"

• Understanding of tooling materials (especially steels) and their properties

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree preferred

• Minimum 10 years experience with sales and marketing

• Extensive knowledge of sales and stamping process required

• Extensive relationship experience with automotive tier 1 and OEM companies

• Strong troubleshooting experience

• Program/Project Management experience

• Advanced PC skills (Microsoft)
