Available in three- or four-arm styles, our bearing bracket frames are designed for belt drive motors and other applications within the HVAC industry. They facilitate accurate positioning of the shaft and blower wheel through a self-centering and self-aligning design.
Brackets are custom made to fit all blowers from 7" to 25" size. Bearings are available for shaft sizes from 1/2" to 1". We can fully assemble these blower bearing brackets with our line of bearings, with customer-provided bearings, or with externally purchased bearings. The symmetrical design permits for the use of shaft collars on either side of the bracket.
Arm lengths and strengths are customizable, such as 13-gage (.090) for heavy duty loads, and provide additional rigidity to the blower side sheet where it is mounted. There are also five different bearing socket sizes offered.
Tri- and quad-arm bearing brackets may be supplied pre-assembled by Triangle’s welding or mechanical fastening facility, or may be shipped knocked-down for customer welding. Current customers utilize their own on-site welding or choose to bolt the brackets together. Blower bearing brackets available with finish options of plain steel or galvanized.
All tri-arms produce a rigid assembly which reinforces the strength of the blower side sheet on which it is mounted. The wedge shape on both edges of the cushion allows the bearing ball to absorb thrust and shock loads from either direction.
They are fully self-aligning and when matching the spherical surfaces of the cushion and ball unit they can effectively produce ball and socket self-aligning action. These brackets are self-centering when installed in the blower inlet where accurate positioning of the shaft and wheel can be facilitated.
Tri-arms are economical and have a low initial cost resulting from high volume production with full automation. Knock-down shipping is another option to save on transportation costs.
Maximum noise and vibration suppression can be achieved with proper cushioning. Triangle's selection of vibration suppressing cushions means easier assembly of the ball unit and better ventilation. The micro-conductance prevents static accumulation and the soft Neoprene 50 Durometer is unaffected by oils, grease, oxidation, or aging.
Triangle's bearing brackets are compatible with a 1052 cushion or an 1899 cushion, depending on bearing size.
Ease of installation is aided by accurate 3-point locators where arms join each other allows for quick and easy spot or projection welding (or bolting) without use of a jig. The ball units, complete with factory assembled lubricant fittings, can be inserted easily into a mounted bracket, saving an extra operation to install the oil cup. The rounded corners and absence of burrs also minimize risk of injury to workers during handling and assembly.
At Triangle, we also provide a universal tri-arm for repairing and/or replacing a blower tri-arm. Engineered with multiple holes and extra-long arms, our universal bracket is an easy solution for standard repair needs. These brackets are utilized by matching up mounting holes and trimming the unnecessary remainder.
