Optional spherical bearing fits for ball bushings

Tight

The bushing ball can be aligned with a shaft with difficulty when the mounting is bolted down or clamped in a vise.

Snug

The bushing ball can be aligned with a shaft without difficulty while the mounting is held in a vise.

Drag

The bushing ball can be moved with a shaft (plug gauge) while holding the mounting in your hand. It should be difficult to align without the shaft. No end play is allowable.

Light Drag

The bushing ball can be aligned with the fingers; some resistance is preferred during alignment with a maximum of 0.008-inch end play.

Spin

The bushing ball has no resistance to being moved and has a maximum of 0.010-inch end play.

Loose

The bushing ball may have more than 0.010-inch end play and is held loosely by the retainer ring.

Some overlap of spherical ball bushing fit types is to be expected. If the fit is not specified, we will ship products with a fit between light drag and snug. We do not charge extra for different fits.
